The protagonist gets into a plane crash and finds himself hostage to an uninhabited territory that has become depopulated after a geomagnetic disaster. Now a harsh eternal winter has set in here, capable of destroying any living creature. Under these conditions, the hero will have to live as long as possible, using the provisions and useful artifacts found. At the same time, the player will solve puzzles, explore the area and collect resources.
Most of the game time is spent exploring locations. Traveling through the snowy expanses, the hero can find valuable items or abandoned rooms filled with objects necessary for survival. Bad weather becomes the main obstacle in the adventures – the player will be attacked by snowstorms, hurricanes and blizzards. Also, the state of the hero is affected by a moving magnetic field: its change can lead to a number of undesirable consequences.
Locations and Enemies
In the Ze Long Dark adventure, there are almost no enemies, except for wolves, bears and other predators, but various dangers can be encountered along the way. The main one is the cold: if the hero does not warm up in time, he will freeze to death. A warm hearth can be found in the houses located in each episode. However, it is better to build your own home, because. other people’s shelters are met not only with warmth, but also with various traps.
Despite the fact that there are no permanent opponents in the game, the plot provides for meetings with other heroes. Most of them are not peaceful and are ready to destroy the player in order to take his finds. For protection, the hero can use the weapons found in the safes, as well as put on equipment. At the same time, it is worth monitoring the filling of the backpack, because. its capacity is limited.
The Long Dark is full of beautiful locations. The path of the hero begins from the city of Milton, from where you can go to the Mysterious Lake, the Valley of the Still River or to the Lonely Swamp. To make the movement more convenient, the hero can open the location map. Minerals, paved paths, restricted areas and public buildings are marked on it. Interaction with the map will be easy, because the game interface is fully translated into Russian.
