In the story, the main character Nick acquires an empty house, where the family of his father, FNAF creator Scott Cawthon, used to live. After the purchase, Nick discovers that dangerous robots have taken up residence in the building. With the onset of darkness, the villains wake up, wanting to destroy all the inhabitants of the house.
To cope with the bloodthirsty dolls, Nick must enlist the support of assistants, each of which will become an active participant in the story. Using the available items and devices, the heroes must explore every corner of the house and defeat all opponents.
Basic gameplay
The gameplay in TJOC: SM is similar to the gameplay in the original FNAF series. The characters explore the house at night, moving from room to room. To protect against enemies, the player can use lighting, as well as useful items that can be found on the territory of the house. The central hero of the level is one of the characters: Nick, Michael, Scott and Scott’s wife. If necessary, the characters can get a walkie-talkie and contact other participants in the story.
At the same time, evil dolls are constantly walking around the house, from which it is necessary to fight back in time so as not to die. The villains in the game are entirely copied from the original FNAF horror: the hero will meet such familiar animatronics as Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, Foxy, etc. Monsters can also move freely around the house, unexpectedly attacking the characters. The longer the night lasts, the crazier the robots become, and a face-to-face collision with the doll results in the hero’s instant death.

To successfully complete the level, the player will have to explore the territory of the room in detail and find all the necessary items. In this case, the action takes place in complete darkness, which can only be scattered with a flashlight. Also, the characters differ from each other in the availability of locations: basically, they can move within the same room.
