The action of horror takes place in a post-apocalyptic world. The protagonist finds himself in a town affected by an epidemic of a dangerous virus that turns people into zombies. To survive among the carnivorous dead, the player must learn how to create items, handle weapons, collect food and heal from diseases. Thinking through every action, the hero will be able to defeat the zombies and save his life.
Project Zomboid doesn’t have a clear plot or ending, so the game ends when the character dies. If desired, players can take advantage of the multiplayer capabilities and go together to one of the available servers.
Features and Benefits
One of the main features of the game is the gradual complication of the gameplay. Following the main character, the dead develop their intelligence and become more aggressive. Zombies are trained to break useful devices and make collective attacks. Gradually, external threats are added to the danger of attack: bad weather, poisonous food, lack of electricity and water supply, natural disasters and much more.
However, the player can withstand the danger if he correctly thinks over the strategy of passing. In Project Zomboid, any user action affects the state of the hero – both physical and moral. The character can become discouraged, go crazy, gain weight, get sick, etc. To avoid a threat to health, the user must feed and entertain the hero in time, send him for walks and hide in time when zombies appear.
Crafting and customization
To make horror even more fun, the developers have added a crafting system. The hero can go to explore the territories and find hidden treasures, as well as bandit bases and useful materials. From them you can create high-quality equipment, as well as strong weapons to repel enemy attacks. Also, chests with collectible artifacts and rare rewards are randomly placed on all locations.
For a change in the gameplay, character traits of the hero were added that affect his behavior in the game. They are located in the character creation menu and are selected by the user independently. Also, the hero can change the name, appearance, gender and costume. If desired, the main gameplay can be supplemented with mods that saturate the game with original content.
Analogues for Android
Project Zomboid was developed for PC and does not yet have an official mobile version. As a replacement, players can install a similar application on their phone: Mini DAYZ.
