The game is still in development, which allows us to count on a significant expansion of the available information. The horror was preparing for release in the first half of 2021, but the developers postponed the release of FNAF 9: Security Breach to the second half of the same year. The exact release date is not yet known.
An overview of the upcoming release
The main innovation of the ninth part is an updated location in the form of a shopping center. The player will have to defend themselves from the animatronics, moving through a three-story building. No more office – the territory has become open; besides, the main character is no longer a security guard in a pizzeria, but a little boy Gregory. He came to the animatronics concert, but was locked up for the night at Freddy Fazbear’s Mega Pizzaplex. Now the boy will have to get out of the institution on his own, while remaining alive.
Mechanical dolls have also undergone significant processing. Many new characters have been added to the game, including non-robot characters. In FNAF 9, Vanessa appears guarding the mall. Vanessa, although she looks friendly, still poses a danger to Gregory, because. her mind is controlled by the digitized identity of a serial killer. The boy will have to hide not only from the animatronics, but also from a dangerous girl.
Animatronics
For the first time in the history of FNAF horror, the main character gets an assistant. In his role is the bear Freddy, familiar from FNAF 1. The developers have not yet revealed the motivation of the animatronic, and users are wondering why the mechanical doll decided not to attack Gregory.
Meeting with other robots for a boy can be fatal, because. the animatronics not only retained their hostile attitude, but also became even more intelligent – the Glamrock line, which released new dolls for the mall, endowed them with new artificial intelligence.
The ninth part has reworked many of the tools of previous games in the series. From FNAF 2, the main character receives a weapon – a flashlight, but he will have to follow the puppets not through the monitor, but through a smart watch. Along with FNAF 6, the composition of the animatronics changes, several new ones are added: Montgomery the Alligator, Roxanne the Wolf and even a secret robot similar to the Nightmare animatronics that appeared in FNAF 4.
