The eighth part of FNAF inherits the advantages of previous games, and also adds new gameplay elements. Five Nights at Freddy’s: Help Wanted (HW) will appeal to all fans of the original horror and will delight fans with a variety of content. The interface is fully translated into Russian.
Game description
The eighth installment of the famous franchise is a collection of mini-games collected from the FNAF universe. The player will have to fight with animatronics in various locations, as well as perform special tasks. For complete immersion in the game, a special virtual reality mode has been created, where the user must survive the game night in VR glasses.
Also added to the application is the Ultraviolet mode, where the difficulty of the levels increases and the mini-games change. It becomes available after completing the Normal mode.
Overview of game modes
The advantage of the eighth part is the presence of the setting of previous games. By downloading FNAF 8, the player gets access immediately to the first three parts of the franchise. For a change, the gameplay has been changed in them: for example, in FNAF 1 the camera does not waste energy, in FNAF 2 a flashlight was added instead of doors, and in FNAF 3 some characters were removed. Every fifth night is done in Ultraviolet mode.
In addition to the original parts, there are special series of mini-games in the horror. The Dark Rooms mode sends the player into combat with the animatronics, where only a flashlight is used as a weapon. Each level is a showdown with one of the mechanical puppets; there are 4 of them in total. The Night Terrors mode is very similar to the Dark Rooms series, based on FNAF 4 and adding to the user’s toolkit not only a flashlight, but also cabinets for protection.
The player can feel like a mechanic in the Parts and Service and Vent Repair modes. In the first series, it is necessary to repair animatronics by carefully removing and inserting parts into mechanical dolls. In Vent Repair mode, the player will repair the ventilation in the pizzeria. This series of mini-games involves solving logic problems and puzzles. For completing tasks in all modes, the player receives valuable rewards and collectibles.
Mobile version features
Horror FNAF 8 was developed for PC, so porting the app to a phone required some changes. The mobile version is missing the FNAF 3 mode and some mini-games are cut off. However, a special series of Princess’s Quest is provided for smartphones, which is a pixel mini-game where the player takes on the role of a princess and explores the castle.
The quality of textures in the mobile version is significantly reduced, but the ability to scale the screen is added. Also, the application does not provide coins, cassettes and related endings. The gallery has not been transferred to phones, and there is also no rotate back function. Otherwise, FNAF 8 for mobile devices repeats the full version of the game.
